My stay at Hakone Ginyu was mostly good, with stunning mountain views and a relaxing private onsen that made for a perfect retreat. However, the occasional noise from children in the lounge was somewhat distracting, and while the room was beautifully designed, some outdoor furniture showed wear. Overall, I would happily return for the unique experience. 🌄🥢

My stay at Hakone Ginyu was a good escape, marked by a tranquil setting and stunning mountain views. The in-room dining experience was really good, offering an array of beautifully presented dishes. However, I found some aspects of the room slightly dated, which affected my overall impression. Despite that, the attentive service and unique amenities made my visit truly nice.

The ryokan is located on a hill, offering a peaceful ambiance that's perfect for relaxation. However, the steep walk from Miyanoshita Station could be challenging with heavy luggage.

Both dinner and breakfast were served in-room and were truly wonderful. The kaiseki dinner featured numerous small dishes that were beautifully presented, although some were challenging for my western palate.

My stay at Hakone Ginyu was marked by stunning mountain views and a nice dining experience, though the hotel showed signs of age. The private onsen with scenic surroundings was a highlight, allowing for deep relaxation. However, the service had its ups and downs, particularly with some small issues during dinner.

My room was spacious and featured tatami mats throughout, with a cozy lounge that transformed into a sleeping area. The outdoor deck had a private onsen bath which provided beautiful views, making it a truly relaxing sanctuary. However, I did notice a bit of a musty smell, likely from the hotel's age.
Service

The staff was incredibly attentive and went out of their way to offer helpful service, from handling my bags to accommodating my requests. Yet, I did experience some frustrating delays when trying to communicate certain needs at the reception.

The meals were a true highlight, especially the kaiseki dinner, which offered a good progression of dishes over two hours. Even the breakfast provided a mini version of the dinner, but I felt a bit overwhelmed by the sheer quantity of food served at times.

While the facilities, including the public onsen, were enjoyable and uncrowded, I noticed some signs of age in the wooden structures, indicating a need for upkeep. Despite this, the experience remained lovely and relaxing.
